How do I know work done is safe and compliant?

Your assurance that electrical work is safe is when that work is carried out by a suitably registered and licensed electrical worker.

Certain electrical work must be certified through a Certificate of Compliance (CoC). Check with your electrical worker to see if you need a CoC for the electrical work being carried out.

Certain electrical work may also require an Electrical Safety Certificate.

Both the Electrical Certificate of Compliance and the Electrical Safety Certificate should include the appropriate authentication mark as shown below:

Making a complaint

If you're unhappy with electrical work, or if you have doubts about an electrical worker's registration, you can make a formal complaint to the Board.
