Applications are open to join the EWRB
On behalf of the Minister for Building and Construction, the Ministry for Business, Innovation and Employment is seeking applications from candidates who are interested in contributing their knowledge and experience to the role of member of the Electrical Workers Registration Board (EWRB).
The EWRB is responsible for promoting the safety of all New Zealanders by ensuring the competence of electrical workers.
The EWRB is now seeking a new member. We welcome applications from highly experienced electrical professionals with strong connections across the sector.
Candidates should be able to demonstrate some or all of the following:
- candidates who are registered and have a current practising licence. Expressions of interest are especially encouraged from persons with Electrical Appliance Serviceperson, Electrical Service Technician and/or any of the lines classes of registration and licence.
- a thorough knowledge of the Act, the Electrical (Safety) Regulations 2010 and the related New Zealand Standards and Codes of Practice
- broad involvement or engagement across the electrical industry as a contractor and/or electrical worker
This is a contestable process and applications will be assessed according to the skills and experience the Board requires at this particular time.
