Delay to receiving practising licence ID cards

Due to the recent upgrade to our EW Portal system, there is a backlog of applications that the team are working through. 

This means your licence applications and renewals will take longer than usual and there will be a delay of up to 8 weeks before you receive your licence packs. Electrical Workers will start receiving their licence packs the week commencing 10 January 2022.

We hope to have the backlog cleared as soon as possible and ask for your patience during this time.

Please note that you can still carry out prescribed electrical work without your ID card as your details are displayed on the public register.
