Prosecution – EWRB v Super Cell Limited
On 26 March 2024, Super Cell Limited was sentenced on one charge of knowingly permitted a person to do unauthorised prescribed electrical work. In 2023, one of the company’s directors completed prescribed electrical work when he installed a home ventilation system at a residential property in Auckland. The director of the company did not hold registration as an electrical worker at the time and carried out the work irrespective of that.
Super Cell Limited was fined $9,000. They were also required to pay court costs and solicitor’s costs.
