Renewal round update – full steam ahead!
The biennial renewal round for electrical worker (EW) practising licences is underway. Currently, just under 40% of EWs have renewed their practising licences. If you haven’t already, it’ll be a load off your mind to get your renewal completed early, so look out for our emails!
We expect all electrical workers to renew their practising licences so that they can continue to practice Prescribed Electrical Work. If you do not have a practising licence, you are not allowed to undertake Prescribed Electrical Work – so get your renewal done if you want to keep practising!
Anything new this round?
This renewal round we have made a simple renewal form available to make it easier to renew. Over 60% of EWs who have renewed already used this simple renewal form and said “it’s so easy!”
If you have an updated email address, you will receive an email with a clickable link in it for the simple renewal form. This link will take you to a secure page where you can complete your renewal in a few easy steps. It’s just that easy! In order for this process to go smoothly for you, before you start please ensure that you have up-to-date competency training and personal contact details in our online system.
Of course, the EW online portal is still available for all EWs. So if you want to update your details or double check on some things, you can renew through the EW online portal via the EWRB website.
What about my competency training?
If you haven’t already done your competency training, it’s nearly too late! You need to find a competency programme provider as soon as possible because they’re booking out fast. You can find a list of providers on the EWRB website, keep in mind that gaps will fill up fast, so don’t leave it to the last minute!
