The Board v Campbell Murray
On 26 April 2017, Campbell Murray pleaded guilty to performing unauthorised prescribed electrical work under the Electricity Act 1992.
On 11 March 2016, Mr Murray, a plumber, was hired to install a hot water cylinder at a residential property. In the course of installing the hot water cylinder, Mr Murray performed prescribed electrical work, including disconnecting and then reconnecting the unit from the power supply. Mr Murray was fined $1,000 and ordered to pay solicitor’s costs and court costs.
