Warrant of electrical fitness (WOEF) warning

The Board received a report on potentially illegal WOEF being issued by unauthorised persons. With the holiday season around the corner it is timely to remind electrical workers of the requirements for WOEF which are set out in regulation 78 of the Electricity (Safety) Regulations 2010. The regulation sets out who can issue them, what they can be issued for, and the associated record keeping requirements. It also stipulates that it is an offence to issue an WOEF in contravention of regulation 78.
