Find a training provider

You can get your electrical worker technical training, such as the electrician’s theory exam course, from Board approved training providers throughout New Zealand. You can also get safety training for your Limited Certificates and registration from these same training providers.

There are also Board approved Competence Programme providers throughout New Zealand. A competence programme is required for a practising licence.

Your training provider helps you take any exams and practical assessments required for registration; they will also run safety training courses for trainees and limited certificate holders. A Training Provider may also run Competence Programmes.

A Competence Programme provider will run refresher training for practising licence renewals, and some may also cover safety training for limited certificate holders.
